At Scandi & Japandi, we’re committed to offering high-quality art prints that reflect the minimalist, timeless aesthetic of Scandi and Japandi design, and to delivering exceptional customer service. If anything goes wrong on our end, we’ve got you covered.

✅ When we cover a replacement or refund

We will gladly provide a replacement or full refund if your order falls under one of the following circumstances:

  1. Your print arrives with printing defects (e.g., incorrect colors, visible misalignment, cropping or clarity issues).

  2. Your print arrives damaged due to shipping or handling.

  3. The order is lost in transit, or the delivery timeframe far exceeds our stated shipping window.

  4. The order is late, resulting in a missed event or deadline, where the delay is clearly attributable to our production or shipping partner.

❌ When a replacement or refund is not covered

Please understand that we cannot offer a refund or free replacement if the reason for return is one of these:

  • You simply don’t like the piece after it arrives (taste, décor change, etc.).

  • You made an error when placing the order (e.g., choosing the wrong size, frame color).

  • The item is delivered and shows as “delivered” in the tracking, but you claim non-receipt without initiating a claim with the carrier.

  • The package is returned to us by the carrier because of an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or you failed to pick it up.

🕒 How to initiate a claim

If you believe your order qualifies for a refund or replacement:

  • Email us at [hello@scandijapandi.com] within 30 days of delivery.

  • Include your order number, a photo of the item and its defect (or proof of non-delivery), and a brief description of the issue.

  • We’ll review the claim promptly and respond within 1–2 business days with next steps.

🔄 Replacement policy & product substitutions

While we strive to fulfill orders exactly as placed, occasionally a product may go out of stock. In such cases:

  • We may offer an equal or higher quality version of your selected frame or print at no extra cost.

  • If an exact match is unavailable, we may propose a size upgrade to the next available size (e.g., from 18 × 24 to 24 × 36) — only if you approve.

  • We’ll always notify you first if a substitution is necessary and wait for your confirmation.

🌿 Additional notes

  • Please keep your original packaging and return the item in the same condition if we request a return shipment.

  • Shipping costs for returns are generally the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method and may take up to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
